A photographed document can glare, blur or come partly cut off. mObywatel passes the data on simply and conveniently, with no risk of a misread.

The data comes from state registers and is signed with the Minister of Digital Affairs' certificate.
An alternative route in the verification process
mObywatel can be used as an alternative to the other verification routes.

The QR code is shown
A dynamic QR code appears in the session, tied to that specific customer and verification session.
Confirmation in the app
The customer scans the QR code with mObywatel and confirms the release of their data to the chosen institution.
The data is received
Name, surname, PESEL and the other data are passed to the institution verifying the customer.
The verification continues
The data feeds the decision engine and is analysed. The process can be extended with further steps — including a check of the person's likeness.

Questions about the mObywatel connection

Is this only for Polish customers?

Yes — mObywatel is Poland's own app, issued by the state, and serves Polish citizens only. International customers can be identified through other routes — for example by photographing an identity document.

What data can be passed on?

The exact scope depends on the data set chosen. The customer has to consent to releasing the data they are asked for: first names, surname, PESEL, the person's likeness, and the other data needed to identify the customer.

What if a customer has no mObywatel app?

In that case the user is directed to a different route: document verification.
